Shortly after you transfer your expressed milk into breastmilk storage bags, you will want to freeze any breastmilk that you intend to send to MotherMade. For freeze drying purposes, we encourage you to mix the breastmilk and homogenize prior to placing in the freezer. Please freeze your breastmilk in disposable certified breastmilk storage bags. We will not accept breastmilk in glass bottles, zip lock bags or any other storage containers.

When you have accumulated the amount of breastmilk you want to freeze dry, note the volume and number of breastmilk bags then submit your order here.

Once your order is received we will deliver the packing materials for you to prepare your stash for pick-up. Instructions are clearly marked on the liner bag and insulated transport box. Only pack your frozen breastmilk shortly before scheduled pick-up. The insulated transport box delays thawing but does not prevent thawing – it is not a substitute for a freezer.

Upon receipt of your stash, we will inspect each bag of frozen breastmilk, log and label the volume, then confirm with you the total amount received – all of which can be recorded under your personal MotherMade profile. For safety reasons, we cannot accept damaged, torn, leaked bags or breastmilk that has fully thawed.

Our pharma-grade lab facilities and premises undergo inspection and operate under a food factory license issued by the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department of Hong Kong. We follow strict handling guidelines and process controls, and it is here where each customer batch is labeled and handled individually to ensure proper identification, tracking and safety. Once the breastmilk is in powdered form, packaging occurs within a controlled cleanroom to provide the most hygienic workstation possible.

From there, food-grade sachets containing your breastmilk powder are labeled and packed for shipment. Shortly after, we notify you when your stash is being shipped to your door!
